Arthur Blank Talks Roddy White’s Future

Roddy White's Future

Falcons head coach Dan Quinn will decide whether or not WR Roddy White will have a future with the team.  At least that is the party line that is coming from the Falcons

Falcons owner Arthur Blank, however, would like White to stay a Falcon.

Blank recently stated that he’d like White to be with the Falcons when they move into the new Mercedes Stadium in 2017.  Blank went on to say, “Age does take its toll on players. Whether or not Roddy is going to have the capability at that point in time, I really don’t know. But he’s certainly competitively, and culturally, and community-wise, he’s performed at the highest level for us for a long period of time. And during this year, in some tough situations, he played well.”

White has two years left on his contract that is around $6 million per year.  His production dropped dramatically last season in new offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan’s offense, down to 43 catches for 506 yards and only 1 touchdown.
