The Atlanta Falcons will have two participants in the Pro Bowl. Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones have been named to the team.
Freeman made the team in his second year, his first year as a starter. The last Falcons running back to make the Pro Bowl was Michael “Burner” Turner in 2010.
Freeman will have the chance to rush for 1,000 yards this season. He currently has 907 yards, seventh best in the league. He has racked up 10 rushing touchdowns, that number is tied for the league lead.
Perhaps Freeman’s best contribution to the Falcons offense has been his receiving. He has 68 receptions for 543 yards.
Julio Jones made the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season, his third selection. He broke the Falcons franchise record for receptions in a season. Jones leads the NFL with 118 receptions and is second in receiving yards with 1,544.
