Derrick Brown has been named the nation’s top prep lineman by the U.S. Army All-American bowl selection committee. Brown played his high school ball at Lanier High School in Buford, GA.
The award Derrick Brown received was named after former USC standout lineman, Anthony Munoz.
247Sports has Brown rated five stars and .9952. He is rated the #3 defensive tackle in the country and #8 overall player.
According to 247Sports, Brown is scheduled to visit UGA on January 15. The Dawgs have a great shot at landing Brown and adding a third superstar to the 2016 recruiting class. UGA has already secured the top QB in the country, Jacob Eason and the top tight end, Isaac Nauta.
At 6’4″, 318 pounds, Brown could be a wrecking ball in the middle of the line for UGA. Lanier packs a rare combination of size, speed and agility that you rarely see in an interior defensive lineman.
