Braves shortstop Dansby Swans thinks kids should play multiple sports.  This goes against today’s conventional wisdom.  Swanson says he played whatever sport was in season and it worked for him.

“I was always naturally driven,” Swanson said. “When I was younger, when I was playing basketball I was like I don’t want to play baseball anymore. My parents were like, no, you need to go play baseball, too.

I agree with that.  Kids need to have fun and develop different skills in all the sports they enjoy.  Inevitably it will assist them in the sport they chose to pursue on the collegiate level.
