Falcons Finish Against Jaguars

Falcons finish!  Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has preached all season that the Falcons need to finish.  Rather than finishing, the Falcons have looked finished, losing six in a row heading into the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Sunday the Falcons rose up on the road against a Jacksonville team that has played pretty good football lately.  Oh by the way, the Falcons also played well in the fourth quarter and actually finished the game.  Winning 23-17.

”This was huge,” the Falcons QB said. ”It’s been tough. It’s been difficult. The only way to get out of it is to keep working hard, keep grinding. Everybody has continued to do that, and that’s why it feels so good to get the win.”

Are you surprised to see the Falcons finish?

The Falcons led 17-3 at halftime, but had Jacksonville tie it up 17-17, so they kind of finished.  But after not winning for two months, this win has to feel like a blowout for Atlanta.

The Falcons take on the undefeated Carolina Panthers at the Georgia Dome next week.  So we’ll see if the Falcons are able to finish the season.
