Breon Dixon decided to get Smart on Christmas Day. He committed to the Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart over Tennessee and Florida.
Dixon was offered by the new Georgia staff two weeks ago and he didn’t have to kick around the offer long. He was originally offered by Smart, the former Alabama defensive coordinator, while Smart was at Alabama.
Dixon carries a 3.7 grade point average, so nothing like bumping up the overall team GPA while also snagging a 4-star player.
The Peachtree Ridge player was quoted as saying he wouldn’t have committed to Georgia if Mark Richt as still coach. So that helps offset the handful of players who de-committed when Richt left.
Dixon is rated the 12th best outside linebacker in the country by 247sports and a 92.35 on a 100-scale.
